I am interested in how art operates in our society including in collaborative or participatory settings.  Between 2012 - 2021 I worked as a producer with environmental arts charity, Culture for Climate Scotland during which time I supported collaborations between artists and climate change partners to formulate creative responses to environmental challenges.

More recently I have began to explore this interest through my own art practice including during an artist residency with R-Urban, an eco-civic hub located on the edge of the Teviot estate, in Poplar, London in the summer 2025.

During the residency I experimented with creating my own art materials including making charcoal from fallen twigs and branches from the trees surrounding the site. I organised a series of workshops exploring how making our own materials might change the way we think about and work with them. Workshop activities included charcoal and pigment making, experimental drawing, and zine making.

I am interested in continuing to develop my work in community settings, particularly engaging with place through drawing and experimenting with material processes.
